How to combine performance and well-being?
The needs of the workforce are evolving. Our goal is to help companies to learn new/different ways to meet these needs in order to create strong engaged teams and retain their talents.
The ultimate motivation of why we go to work has evolved with time and across generations. For the baby boomers, working is/was about responding to physiological and safety needs. When Generation X entered the workplace, we shifted to the need of belonging, having a social status and recognition. More recently, the reason why we go to work has evolved towards the need for self-realization. This need is particularly present for the new generations- millennials & Gen Z. They want to feel fulfilled and have an impact.
On top of that, my data proves (source: inner child workshops & webinars) that the level of connection / awareness to the inner motivations vary a lot between generations, up to 80%. This often explains the gap, disconnection and challenge of integration between those groups of employees.
If companies want to retain talents and recruit the leaders of tomorrow, it is important they understand and embrace these ‘new needs’.
